Blast from the past!! One of my first photo shoots was with Kaitlin Sellers, local model from Vancouver, Wa and photographer Yuriy Manchik of Manchik Photography from Seattle, Wa. I was reading his blog recently and found his blog about our shoot. Yuriy is a professional and amazing to work with. Check out his blog post about the day.

My good friends Caitlin and Will were married on July 29, 2011 at Mt. Tabor park in Portland, OR. I had the honor to do her wedding makeup and hair. Guys sure have it easy at weddings, put on the tux and comb the hair. While the ladies all run around like crazy to get pretty. With the short time we had to get ready, we should have received a wedding medal for pulling it all together so beautifully. As a bridesmaid and the makeup artist, I had double duty. I also made her flower veil and all of the bridesmaids hair flowers. It was a fun challenge. I love my job, I get to do what I love and with the people I love. Much happiness to the bride and groom!!

Last year I worked with my dear friend and amazing Portland photographer, Cat Coats. We did a Valentines theme shoot for our friend Chelsea Steel. Old Hollywood glam! A classic favorite look of mine! It was a perfect cloudy Portland day. Check out the photos. All Photos by: Cat Coats
Meow!!! Stay tuned for a Beauty Breakdown. I will let you know what products I used to get the look.
I had the opportunity last summer to work with Apparel Design student at The Art Institute of Portland, Meg Lord. She made a Scandinavian felted jacket, and was entered in The Nordic Fashion Biennale, a design competition. The jacket and photos were displayed in Seattle at the Nordic Heritage Museum.
I had a blast working with Meg, Model Gretchen Lohry-Smith, and Photographer Nathan Gerdes. It was a hot, hot August day and props to Gretchen for working it in a felt jacket and pants while we were in shorts and tank tops.
Great news!! Meg won the Peoples Choice Award and will be going on a trip to Reykjavik, Iceland during 2012 Reykjavik Fashion Week. How cool is that!
Be sure to check out Nathan’s website, and if you need a photographer he is very professional and a great guy to work with.
